Two teenagers were arrested Monday on multiple charges related to a carjacking that took place weeks earlier near a Gwinnett County hotel.

The teens, ages 15 and 16, are suspected of stealing a Nissan Rogue at gunpoint near the Comfort Inn & Suites on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard in Peachtree Corners, authorities said.

The carjacking took place Sept. 13 and was investigated by Gwinnett police. Three weeks later, the pair were arrested by the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office, according to agency spokesman Deputy Carlton Releford.

Both teens are facing charges of armed robbery, hijacking a motor vehicle, aggravated assault and possession of a pistol or revolver by a person under 18. They were each armed with handguns at the time of their arrest, Releford said.

No information has been released about the victim of the carjacking or the circumstances surrounding the crime. Further details about the two teenage suspects were not released because they are minors.
