Two men were arrested and charged with murder in connection with a shooting at a northwest Atlanta gas station that left one man dead in early June.

De’Shant Hester, 24, was arrested Monday in Decatur and Tahliek Hester, 27, surrendered to police Tuesday in the killing of 30-year-old Encre Styles Jr., Atlanta police said in a news release. Both are being held at the Fulton County Jail without bond.

“APD’s homicide and fugitive units continue to demonstrate relentless determination in investigating homicide cases, tracking down and arresting suspects and closing cases by arrest,” the news release said.

Around 2:30 p.m. on June 16, police were called to a Chevron at 1739 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and found Styles with multiple gunshot wounds, police said.

Investigators were told by witnesses that Styles got into an argument with the men before they pulled out a gun and began shooting, the release said. Styles was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital in critical condition and later pronounced dead, police said.

Police have not said if Styles knew De’Shant Hester and Tahliek Hester or if they are related.

Donald Trump's administration deployed the military to Washington, D.C., in the name of fighting crime, and in an Aug. 11 news conference he mentioned the possibility of military being sent to other large American cities, all of which are led by Black, Democratic mayors. And while Atlanta wasn't included in Trump's list, the city fits that profile under Mayor Andre Dickens. (Photo Illustration: Philip Robibero / AJC | Source: Getty)
