Henry County’s public schools have been reaccredited for five years after receiving what district officials said are some of the highest marks possible. Reaccreditation was officially approved in mid-June by the Cognia Global Commission and is effective through June 30, 2026. The process was completed in March, and the findings from the review team’s visit were shared with the Henry County Board of Education at its May 10 study session.

The district earned high marks from the team responsible for rating the district’s adherence to performance standards, assurances, and policies; quality assurance through internal and engagement reviews; and continuous improvement. Overall, the district was scored in three domains — leadership, learning, and resource capacities — and 31 total standards. Information: henry.k12.ga.us.
