A final decision on the proposed 2022 budget is expected by the Stone Mountain City Council at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 14 at City Hall, 875 Main St., Stone Mountain.
The budget year will begin Jan. 1 and end Dec. 31, 2022.
The total revenue for the General Fund budget is expected to be about $4.5 million, with matching expenditures of $4.5 million, according to Stone Mountain City Manager ChaQuias Miller Thornton.
Separately, the special purpose local option sales tax (SPLOST) for 2022 is expected to be $960,912 in collections from anticipated sales tax proceeds.
Of that amount, $931,500 will be spent for hardscape street resurfacing and $29,412 for fire station improvements.
The city has received a little more than $1.1 million in federal funding through the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 in the first phase.
Planning for the use of that funding will be presented later and that funding must be appropriated by the end of 2024.
