What better place than a town square for people to come together for the holidays or for a special event? This week's Best of Atlanta poll wants to know where you celebrate community, enjoy the area’s best festivals or simply shop and eat at your favorite spots.
Marietta Square takes first place as Atlanta's favorite town square. It's no wonder as this magical spot is the home of some of the best community events in our city. Marietta is a true tourist destination offering a wide variety of dining, play, and shopping options. They know how to turn up the festive dial when it comes to the holidays or any sort of special celebration. Be sure to check out their Winter Wonderland complete with an ice skating rink and Santa during the holidays.
In second place, Roswell Town Square offers a wide variety of fantastic restaurants and community activities throughout the year. If you need to see to believe, there's no better time to visit than during the holidays.
Decatur Square is the very definition of festive year-round. Coming in a close third, you needn't look far for all things fun in the Decatur town square. Wine, dine and shop to your heart's content in this celebrated area of Atlanta.
All of Atlanta's communities know how to bring the love. Be sure to visit Lawrenceville Square, Duluth Town Green, Snellville Towne Green, Historic Square at Stone Mountain Park and The Village Green in Smyrna on your town square grand tour.
At some of metro Atlanta’s town squares, you can stand in awe of the area’s best holiday light shows in Atlanta and beyond. Town squares like Marietta Square even offer up the chance for you to imagine yourself as Oksana Baiul − ice skating without a care in the world.
Side note: The popular holiday light show at the Atlanta Botanical Garden, “Garden Lights, Holidays Nights,” is now open for the season.
