No, you’re not seeing things.

Dozens of people will rappel down the Intercontinental Buckhead Atlanta, 3315 Peachtree Road, to raise funds to to prevent and treat addiction and to raise awareness about about the disease. The event runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Shatterproof Challenge brings together participants who have been directly affected by addition, their friends and families. Local companies are sponsoring young people in recovery to rappel.

Shatterproof, a new national organization, works to end addiction to drugs and alcohol and to eliminate the stigma. Shatterproof is hosting 15 of these events in cities across the United States.
