For toddlers and young children, childcare often doubles as summer camp. If your little one is not currently enrolled in childcare or if you simply want to change things up, you have a quite a few options that cater to the pre-school and Kindergarten crowd.

In general, summer programs at churches often include programs for toddlers as do branded childcare centers such as Primrose or Kids ‘R’ Kids.

Pre-school kids get a flexible schedule and fun musical activities while older children can choose their schedule and which instruments they want to play during full and half-day programs. Various metro area locations

Kids as young as age 2 1/2 receive tennis instruction from USTA certified coaches. There are also golf camps and general sports camps available at locations throughout the metro area. Programs are encouragement based and run through the end of July.

The Little House of Art

Locations in Brookhaven and Atlanta

Summer camps include themed weeks such as Princesses, Play-Doh, Lego, Shopkins and more. Activities include crafts, interactive sessions, stories, dress-up play, games and a bouncing playhouse. The camps begin at age 3. One week sessions run from June through August with options for full-day or half-day.

Locations in Buckhead, Dunwoody and Kennesaw

Sign your toddler up for one or two-week sessions in ballet, jazz, tap, musical theater and acting. Two and three-year-olds will learn ballet and ballet terminology while performing daily story dances while dressed as fairy-tale characters. Four to six-year-olds do the same while learning formal ballet technique.

Tabula Rasa The Language Academy

Locations in Sandy Springs and Lawrenceville

Even 2-month-olds can enjoy this Spanish total immersion experience. During the two or four-week sessions, campers learn Spanish culture and the language of different countries. In Sandy Springs, French is offered for 30 minutes per day and in Lawrenceville, Chinese is offered for 30 minutes per day. During the afternoon, campers engage in sports related to the countries they are studying.
