As Georgia and other states have begun reopening economies, Krispy Kreme has reopened to customers to an extent.

The Winston-Salem, N.C.-based doughnut chain announced Monday that its shops and drive-thrus were open.

Now, people looking to satisfy their doughnut cravings can walk inside a local shop and place an order for carry-out or pick up an online order. Costumers can also opt to place orders on the Krispy Kreme app or on the website. Meanwhile, dine-in seating remains temporarily closed.

"We continue to comply with state and local governments guidelines. Please visit our shop locator for the most up-to-date information, including shop hours, in your area," the company said online.

Krispy Kreme is also continuing to employ safety measures for employees and customers including increased frequency of routine disinfecting in shops, providing hand sanitizer in lobbies for customers and continuing to require health screenings for employees before shifts.

“Thanks to the best customers around for your patience and support. We look forward to continuing to deliver to you the joy that is Krispy Kreme,” the company said.

Recently, the chain made waves for offering a sweet promotion to the class of 2020. Krispy Kreme offered a free “Graduation Dozen” to high school and college graduates last week if they arrived at participating shops wearing a cap and gown, tassel, school sweatshirt or other apparel denoting they’ve received their diploma or degree.

For non-graduates wanting a free treat, the chain is celebrating National Doughnut Week June 1-5 by offering customers one free doughnut of their choice any day Monday-Friday.
