Nothing brings Atlantans together quite like complaining about traffic and public transportation, but this Thanksgiving, let’s try to focus on all the things we adore about the city we call home.

With its big small-town feel, the city of Atlanta has something for everyone. To get into the holiday spirit, we’ve rounded up seven reasons we’re thankful for Atlanta:

Brunch.

Brunch is a weekend ritual in Atlanta. With countless area restaurants offering this midday repast, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s dining team set out to find the best of the bunch. We ate at myriad spots, digging a fork into everything from pancakes to pimento cheese omelets in order to find the top dishes and drinks to suit every mood. It's no secret Atlanta's food scene is one of the best things about the city, but if you haven't brunched in one of the city's many small neighborhoods, you're missing out on an important weekend ritual drowned in bottomless mimosas, eggs Benedict and all the French toast your heart can handle.

Staplehouse.

Speaking of being a foodie city, Atlanta is home to America's best new restaurant of 2016. Food magazine Bon Appetit gave Atlanta's Staplehouse top honors this year for its complex, flavorful plates. 541 Edgewood Ave. S.E., Atlanta. 404-524-5005, staplehouse.com.

The rise of Georgia's booming film and television scene gives Atlantans some unique bragging rights. From Donald Glover's "Atlanta" to the hit series "The Walking Dead," and blockbusters like "The Hunger Games" sequels and "Captain America: Civil War," chances are you'll either run into a celebrity around town, act as an extra on a show or visit an iconic filming location.

Ponce City Market.

Atlantans can't get enough of this place, and for good reason. Ponce City Market has blessed Atlanta with a piece of New York with an offshoot of the Big Apple's Chelsea Market. The food, the shopping and the market's latest addition — a rooftop park — make for the perfect weekend hangout. 675 Ponce de Leon Ave. N.E., Atlanta. 404-900-7900, www.poncecitymarket.com.

Just like Ponce City Market, Atlanta's Beltline has become an icon for city dwellers. The project's parks and trails span 22 miles and connect 45 Atlanta neighborhoods.

Hip-hop.

Grammy-winning, Atlanta hip-hop duo Outkast played the first of 3 sold out weekend shows (22,000 fans each night) Friday night at Centennial Olympic Park. Outkast ATLast celebrates the trail-blazing group's 20th anniversary and featured opening acts 2 Chainz, Future, Janelle Monae, Yung Ralph, Lil Wil and Slimm Calhoun. (Robb D. Cohen/RobbsPhotos.com)

The New York Times once called Atlanta "hip-hop's center of gravity." Thank you, Atlanta, for blessing us with hip-hop and R&B icons like Outkast, T.I., Usher, Ludacris and many, many more.

As long as Atlanta can avoid a snowstorm, the weather here is quite gracious. There’s nothing like a crisp autumn day spent at one of Atlanta’s many parks.

What makes you thankful to call Atlanta home?
