There’s an easy way to get rid of all that excess candy that did not get passed out to trick-or-treaters, removing temptation and doing a good deed at the same time.

The Halloween Candy Buyback program in in its tenth year.
"The Halloween Candy Buyback buys candy from children after Halloween. We get candy off of the streets and send it in care packages to troops overseas. The troops get a brightened day and often share the candy with locals in a show of trust, sometimes acquiring key intel." (Source: Facebook)
The program’s founder, a Wisconsin dentist Chris Kammer, is trying to drum up 100,000 toothbrushes to donate along with the candy to overseas troops.
Halloween is over, but the buyback is just getting going. If you can’t find a local drop-off point, you can ship it yourself by sending it by mid-November to:
