DeKalb offers free Christmas tree disposal
DeKalb County residents can recycle their Christmas tree by placing them on the curbs for regular trash pick-up, county officials announced Tuesday.
County sanitation workers will collect trees that are smaller than seven feet starting next month. Larger trees must be cut in half.
The trees will be chipped into mulch or used for wildlife habitats, county officials said.
