Ever notice that some people have a tiny hole above their ears? Well, the condition actually has a name.

The small segment of the population that is born with these tiny holes anywhere around their external ears have a condition called preauricular sinus.

According to Business Insider, evolutionary biologist Neil Shubin said these holes may be an evolutionary remnant of fish gills.
