The brain is only the size of a pea, but looks like a normal brain and has multiple cell types and all the regions of a normal brain - "equal in maturity to that of a five-week-old fetus," according to the report.

They say it could be used as a more effective and more ethical way to test the effects of drug treatments on the brain.
