Want to donate and volunteer for the holidays? Here are ways to help.

MUST Ministries is seeking donations of new, unwrapped toys, clothes and games to stock its three Christmas Toy Shops for children in need.

The annual MUST Toy Shops provide a brighter holiday for more than 5,000 children of all ages living in poverty in Cobb and Cherokee counties. The stores are set up like department stores and allow parents to select toys for their children.

This is the first year there are three toy shops, which will allow MUST to serve more children, said Kaye Cagle, director of marketing and public relations.

Items needed most include new underwear, socks, hats, scarves, gloves, fleece blankets and gifts for teenagers and tweens.

Donors can also create baby boxes for the youngest Toy Shop recipients by filling wrapped cardboard boxes with diapers, pajamas, blankets, bottles and other infant necessities.

Go to the faith-based nonprofit's website and click on "toy shop" for a list of needed items and instructions.

Donations will be received at the MUST Donation Center at 55 Chastain Road, Suite 110, in Kennesaw between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays, through Dec. 21.

Families register in advance and come shop by appointment beginning Dec. 8.
