Candler Park Market is back in business.

The store closed earlier this month for renovations, but after installing new flooring, shelves and other upgrades, the market is back in business.

“Hi CPM customers! Thanks again for all your patience and support. We're officially in business again,” the store wrote in a Facebook post.

That came as good news for some of the market’s devoted customers.

“I’ve been missing my hazelnut coffee and Mr. Rick’s smiling face,” Jennifer Levine Silver wrote in a Facebook comment.

“You guys exemplify community,” another commenter, Geremy van Arkel, wrote.

While some things have moved around a bit, customers will largely find the same market as before.

The market, 1642 McLendon Ave. NE, has been open since 2003, offering a selection of local produce, meats, wine, beer and deli items.

The market’s team said the renovation was meant to spruce up the space, but still retain its charm.

"Our deli, groceries, fresh local produce, and everything else our customers love about Candler Park Market will remain the same," Denise Howe, general manager, told What Now Atlanta. "We're just getting a nicer space, but not so nice as to lose our old school character."

In 2016, the folks behind the market expanded their footprint when they opened the Grant Park Market at 519 Memorial Drive. They were the first tenants in the Larkin on Memorial development.

"After 13 years of success with Candler Park Market, we knew the time was right to open a second location in Grant Park," Greg Hutchins, partner, Candler/Grant Park Market, said at the time.
