FLOWERY BRANCH — Falcons starting left cornerback A.J. Terrell (concussion), wide receiver Russell Gage (ankle) and wide receiver Frank Darby (calf) were ruled out for the Giants’ game by coach Arthur Smith on Friday.
Terrell is in the concussion protocol, and Gage suffered an ankle injury against the Bucs. He returned to action, but appeared to aggravate the injury. Darby has been battling a calf injury.
T.J. Green, a former safety who has not started an NFL game since 2017, will start at left cornerback. Olamide Zaccheaus is set to take over Gage’s snaps.
The Falcons also are hoping that cornerback Kendall Sheffield (undisclosed injury) and left guard Josh Andrews (broken hand) will return from injured reserve soon.
