The drink is now available nationwide

Coca-Cola with Coffee makes U.S. debut.Coca-Cola with Coffee launched in the United States on Jan. 25, 2021.It is available in three flavors: Dark Blend, Vanilla and Caramel. There is also Coca-Cola with Coffee Zero Sugar, which is offered in Dark Blend and Vanilla. Both drinks fuse Brazilian coffee with the taste of Coca-Cola.We’re focusing our innovation efforts on doing what Coca-Cola has always stood for and does best – which is to deliver emotional and functional uplift – in bigger, bolder, more differentiated ways, Brandan Strickland, brand director, Coca-Cola Trademark

About six months after The Coca-Cola Company previously offered its new buzzy beverage to its Insiders Club, the Atlanta-based beverage company has launched Coca-Cola with Coffee in the U.S.

Infused with Brazilian coffee, Coke says the drink, which is also offered in a Coca-Cola with Coffee Zero Sugar variety, “sips like a Coke and finishes like a coffee.”

You can pick up three flavors of Coca-Cola with Coffee — Dark Blend, Vanilla and Caramel — and two flavors of the zero-sugar variety — Dark Blend and Vanilla — in the ready-to-drink coffee aisle.

“Coca-Cola with Coffee is a true hybrid innovation that provides the perfect solution for that mid-afternoon pick-me-up we all want, especially in today’s work-from-home environment. We’re fulfilling this need state and occasion in a uniquely Coca-Cola way,” Coca-Cola trademark brand director Brandan Strickland said in a press release.

Strickland added that this fusion of soda and java means customers don’t have to choose between options to satisfy their cravings.

“Many people are often torn between reaching for a soft drink or a coffee at 3 p.m. at work, at school or on the go,” Strickland said. “Now, you don’t need to leave Coca-Cola to get your coffee fix.”

The drink launched Monday and select consumers in Coffee County were treated to a special drop of the beverage via drone thanks to a partnership with Coke, Walmart and national drone services provider DroneUp.

This is not the beverage manufacturer’s first foray into soda-coffeedom.

In 2006, Coke launched Coca-Cola Blak, a coffee-flavored version of its namesake drink. According to CNN, the beverage was pulled two years later.

“That was a trend before its time,” Nancy Quan, the company’s senior vice president and chief technical and innovation officer told CNN Business in 2019. “I don’t think people were ready to have a coffee portfolio within the Coca-Cola brand.”
