Watch: Rare 'Alice in Wonderland' screen test

Kathryn Beaumont is a Disney legend.

She voiced Alice, in Wonderland. Then she was Wendy Darling in Peter Pan.

She was also the "live-action reference" for both roles, too.

"When I was playing the role of Alice, for Walt Disney, I often had the pleasure of visiting the animators in the studios," she says. "The animators were constantly producing 'pencil tests,'" which were drawings photographed against a background layout then projected on a machine called a moviola.
