Nicki Minaj might have brought her new man, Meek Mill, as her date to the BET Awards Sunday night.

But it was her mom who stood by her side onstage as she accepted the coveted Best Female Hip-Hop Artist award. Cue the awws!

"I just wanted to really bring my mommy up, because I always talk about my mommy, and this is the first time the world is getting to see her. And Mommy, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you've done for me. I love you so much." (Video via BET Networks)

OK, talk about adorable! Nicki's heartfelt dedication definitely got some cheers from the crowd.

And, of course, Momma Carol returned her famous daughter's sentiment.

As a writer for People perfectly summed it up, "You can see where [Nicki] gets it!"

And E! even called Carol "the real star of the BET Awards." No arguments there!

But, of course, this isn't really the first time the world has seen Carol.

Just last month, she opened up to Essence about what it was like to raise the "Anaconda" singer. She told the outlet, "I always tell my children to persevere. If they keep pressing toward what they want, it's going to happen."
