The annual Miss Bikini of the Universe in China is in its 10th year and always features segments that test contestants to their core. Last year, models had to walk a parade route in the freezing cold in eastern China.

This year, contestants were challenged during an event in central China to walk 1.24 miles up a windy and winding mountainside. The path was full of holes and was just 3 feet wide. The contestants all wore red bikinis and black high heels and ended up on a glass runway at the top.

Not surprisingly, this part of the competition was not about “best body.” Instead, it was described as a “test of their composure.”

Some of the models reportedly ditched the heels and walked barefooted to better avoid holes in the walkway. No word on how that affected their scores.

The final competition for the 2015 title will be held in Beijing in October.
