Sarah Trowbridge, a librarian at a public library in Fayetteville will compete on “Jeopardy!” tonight (airing 7:30 p.m. Wednesday on WXIA-TV NBC).
Although Trowbridge can not reveal how he does in the show, she raved about the experience on being on the country’s popular and highly competitive quiz show in its 32nd season in syndication, with 25 million viewers each week.
“It was one of the most fun experiences of my life,” she said. “They come pick you up at the hotel and everyone is nuervous, and you do all of this paperwork, and it’s so much fun meeting the producers, other contestants and Alex (Trebek) of course. It was like being in summer camp.”
Trowbridge, 53, has worked at the Fayette County Library in Fayetteville for the past 10 years.
An avid reader, Trowbridge also credits her job for helping her learn a lot - about many subjects.
“Being a librarian exposes you to do many things, answering questions about things you may not have known about and exposes you to a wide area of subjects,” she said.
She said she has wanted to be a contestant on “Jeopardy!” for three decades.
