Herschel Walker, Kim Kardashian both visited the White House yesterday

Herschel Walker's 5,259 rushing yards are the most in UGA history - and SEC history. Two of Georgia's top five all-time rushers are on this year's team - Nick Chubb and Sony Michel. Nick Chubb is second all-time with 4,318 yards with at least four games remaining - and possibly five. Todd Gurley is third on the all-time list with 3,285 yards. Garrison Hearst is fourth with 3,232 yards. Sony Michel ranks fifth with 3,142 yards. Similar to Chubb, Michel has four - and possibly five - games remaining.

Wednesday's Oval Office meeting between Kim Kardashian and President Donald Trump to discuss prison reform is generating headlines, but University of Georgia legend Herschel Walker made a White House visit as well.

He was there to help launch the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness and Nutrition.

The Trump administration recently announced Walker's two-year appointment.

He joins former New York Yankees pitcher Mariano Rivera and beach volleyball gold medalist Misty May-Treanor to promote programs meant to inspire Americans to adopt good nutrition and exercise habits.

PAST: Fans waited three hours to meet Herschel Walker

Walker played in Trump’s short-lived United States Football League and appeared on “Celebrity Apprentice” prior to Trump’s pivot to politics. Walker threw his support behind Trump at the outset of his presidential campaign.

"I've been a fan of Trump. I've known the Clintons for a long time. I've known both of them, but I've known Donald a lot longer," Walker told AJC political reporter Greg Bluestein in 2016. "That's what makes it tough, I've just known Donald. I know the type of man he is. I know a lot of things they've said, it's kind of sad. Because that's not the way he is, and I know that's not the way Donald is."

First daughter Ivanka Trump joined Wednesday’s event.

Kardashian visited the White House to push for the release of Alice Johnson, 63, who is serving a life prison term stemming from drug charges.
