The Kuumba Storytellers of Georgia will offer historic portraits of figures such as harriett Tubman, Josephine Baker and Coretta Scott King next week, as part of the DeKalb County Public Library’s celebration of Black History Month.

The storytellers will focus on men and women who overcame challenges to make a difference in the history of the country and world.

The event, which is sponsored by the Friends of Decatur Library, begins at 7 p.m. on Feb. 10 at the Decatur library on Sycamore Street. It is free and open to the public.

For more information about the event or others during Black History Month, visit the library’s Web site at www.dekalb.public.lib.ga.us.
