Lizards, snakes and turtles from around the globe, as well as a few animals native to Georgia, will be on display Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Fernbank Museum’s annual Reptile Day. More than 20 tables of activities in the great hall will include arts and crafts, games, videos and animal demonstrations. Slithery stars of the show include a bearded dragon native to Australia, a European legless lizard and a blue-tongued skink.

“Most people love the cuddly panda bear, but kids love snakes and lizards just as much,” said Kristy Richardson, family programs specialist. “There will be a wide variety of animals, some of which many people have never seen before.”

Experts from the Georgia Herpetological Society will be on-hand to answer questions and lead demonstrations. More than a dozen other varieties of geckos are on view in the Geckos: Tails to Toepads exhibit.
