Beyonce didn't need an introduction when she made her Country Music Awards debut.

As soon as the 50th annual CMAs returned from a commercial break, Beyonce and the Dixie Chicks were on stage performing  "Daddy Lessons," a country-tinged song from Beyonce's album "Lemonade."

Speculation was confirmed within a few hours when GMA announced that Beyonce was confirmed as a performer for Wednesday's show.

Despite criticism from some country music fans at the announcement, CMA co-host Brad Paisley welcomed Beyonce to the show.

The Dixie Chicks, who have been covering the song during in their shows, each sang "Texas" with Beyonce as the song opened.

The performance also had a nod to the Chicks with a breakdown that included their song "Long Time Gone."

Stars like Faith Hill and Trisha Yearwood were captured on camera clapping and dancing along.
