The Woodruff Arts Center, which includes the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, the Alliance Theatre and the High Museum of Art, announced Friday it had reached a new high in its fund-raising efforts, collecting $14.4 million in corporate gifts during the 2015-2016 season.

It was almost a million more than last year’s total of $13.6 million, which itself was also a record.

More than 350 companies and foundations contributed to the campaign. Jim Hannan, CEO and president of Georgia-Pacific Corporation chaired the effort.

Doug Hertz, chairman of the arts center, praised the “tremendous commitment of time and energy from people like Jim Hannan and his volunteer team.”

Over the last five years, corporate donations to the arts center have grown from $9 million in 2012 to this year’s $14.4 million.

This growth has come while the Woodruff Arts Center also has been conducting its $100 million Transformation Campaign, a separate effort designed to increase the endowment, renovate the Alliance Theatre and provide greater access to the arts for families. To date, the Transformation Campaign has raised more than $95 million toward the $100 million goal.
