In celebration of her single “7 Rings” being at the top of the charts for seven weeks, Ariana Grande is releasing new music.

"Man, let's drop it tomorrow night," Grande tweeted Wednesday, tagging singer-songwriter Victoria Monet and referencing their new single "Monopoly." "We need to celebrate tbh! Life too short and too sweet (right now)," she added.

Monet is a close friend of Grande and co-wrote several songs on her latest album, “Thank U, Next.” She also appeared alongside Grande in the “7 Rings” music video.

The pop singer, who recently released two albums in less than a year, is taking a different approach to music.

People reported that, according to a tweet, releasing music on her own schedule -- rather than coordinating with a record label, as most are expected to do -- has been good for her mental health.

“It feels (so much) healthier and (so much) more authentic and rewarding,” she wrote in reply to a fan. “Regardless of the outcome, I prefer this (because) it’s real and feels happy. No games. I love music. I love the ppl i make it (with). These past few months made me fall in love (with) this job all over again. So thank u (so much) for being down.”

But Grande has delayed the release of the song, saying she got excited and ahead of herself and the song hasn't been mastered yet.

“See, this is why I can’t go on Twitter anymore. I get too excited and say (expletive) I shouldn’t. However, Monday is soon enough!”
