ET Online reported that the pop star was a guest at Streisand's show at Chicago's United Center and performed the duet "No More Tears (Enough Is Enough)." The 1979 song was originally released as a duet between Streisand and Donna Summer.

The surprise performance came after Streisand posted a closeup photo of the singer's manicured hands to Instagram Monday with the caption, "Made a new friend..."

Turns out, they were prepping for their performance.

"Secret's out," Streisand captioned a Tuesday Instagram post. "Thank you @arianagrande."

Grande shared the same image in black and white, captioning the post, "cherishing this moment forever @barbrastreisand."

The moment is full circle. BuzzFeed News reported that Grande saw Streisand in concert in 2006 when the CBS special "Streisand: Live in Concert" was taped. The special was later released in 2009.
