Turner Field cow does tomahawk chop!

The giant restaurant mascot gets a cow's eye view of the game from the huge high-definition screen in the outfield of Turner Field.

Chick-fil-A unveiled a 40-foot tall tomahawk-chopping "Eat Mor Chikin" Cow atop the 755 Club above left field just prior to the Atlanta Braves game against the Seattle Mariners Friday night at Turner Field. Braves announcer Skip Caray blamed the bovine for a lack of offense early in the match-up.

The top half of the 40-foot tall, 15,000-pound mechanical cow waits to be lifted into place.

The cow will be unveiled at the June 20 Braves game against Seattle.

The cow leaves Kern Studios in New Orleans. Kern fabricated the cow in its Valencia, Spain, facility and then shipped it to New Orleans this spring.

The design went through several versions. Initially, its creators had the cow posed in a tomahawk chop. In a later version, it chopped from the shoulder. Finally, and most appropriately, they made the cow's arm bend at the elbow, just like a real Braves fan would do.

This isn't the first time Chick-fil-A has gotten involved in athletics. The company also sponsors college football's Chick-fil-A Bowl. In this photo from 2005, the cows relax in the Georgia Dome before the LSU vs. Miami game (then called the Peach Bowl).
