Six companies have thrown their hats in the ring to compete for the right to develop a hotel at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, along with nearby office space and a travel plaza.

The companies that submitted documents to be pre-qualified to compete for the contract are: Airmall USA Inc., Stamford Bridge Capital LLC, Regent Partners LLC, Arcadd Inc., Grove Street Partners and Carter.

The project the airport envisions includes a hotel next to the domestic terminal, along with a nearby gas station/convenience store and mixed-use office development. The hotel would be a short walk from the domestic terminal, just outside the exit on the west side of the terminal.

The firms that compete for the contract can be corporations, or they can be joint ventures of multiple companies. Once the city determines which companies are qualified, it will solicit proposals from the companies and eventually choose a winner.
