Servigistics, a 10-year-old Atlanta software company that recently was acquired by a private investment firm, will merge with a Chicago competitor, Click Commerce's Service Network Solutions division.

Both are owned by Marlin Equity Partners.

The new company will be called Servigistics and will be headquartered in Atlanta.

The value of the deal, to be announced today, was not stated. But executives with Servigistics said the combined revenues of the business are about $100 million.

Servigistics sells software that automates its clients' after-sale service to businesses and consumers. It bills itself as the worldwide leader in service management software.

The merged company will have about 240 clients, including Dell, AT&T and Mercedes-Benz.

Servigistics has about 300 employees, including about 100 in Atlanta.

Servigistics Chief Executive Officer Eric Hinkle said the company has "grown rapidly" and has the potential to build the business further as it expands deeper into and beyond some core industries it now serves.

Servigistics' technology is widely used by companies in the computer, aerospace, automotive and medical industries.
