One Georgia Bank CEO departing

Sept 17, 2010

The CEO of One Georgia Bank has resigned and the Midtown-based lender has hired a consulting group to help improve its performance.

Willard “Chuck” Lewis will leave the $215 million in assets bank Oct. 15. One Georgia has retained Mike Washburn of the Cardinal Advisory Group of Birmingham, Ala., a community bank consulting group, to lead the bank during its transition.

“We are appreciative of the job Chuck did in helping launch our bank and steer it for the past four years,” One Georgia Chairman Arthur B. Edge IV said in a statement.

One Georgia was ordered in April to improve its operations, board oversight and portfolio management, as well as an IT issue. The bank has previously said it is being proactive about the order and that its IT problems have been addressed.
