Consumer Reports’ list of most reliable 2014 vehicles is out, with Toyota and its companion Lexus brand dominating several categories. Honda, Mazda, Volkswagen, Acura, Audi, Mitsubishi and Sabaru also have at least one vehicle among the most reliable categories. Most complaints from new owners are about problems with infotainment systems and other electronics, such as touch screens, multi-function dash controls, Bluetooth pairing, voce-command systems, and back-up cameras. The results, involving 1.1 million vehicles, are based on a survey of Consumer Reports’ online and magazine subscribers who have had their vehicles for a year. Check out our gallery of how automakers rank based on the average of their models’ predicted-reliability scores.
