Ag-Pro Companies, a Georgia operator of John Deere farm equipment dealerships, is expanding its footprint with the acquisition of two businesses that also operate similar dealerships.

Ag-Pro, which is based in Boston in Thomas County, said it is acquiring Fayette Tractor in Fayetteville and Lawn Equipment Solutions in Grayson. Fayette Tractor has a dealership each in Newnan and Fayetteville, and Lawn Equipment Solutions, in Grayson and Conyers.

Financial terms of the deals were not disclosed.

Last spring, Ag-Pro acquired Thomasville-based GreenSouth Equipment and its 13 John Deere locations in Georgia, Florida and South Carolina, making it one of the largest John Deere dealerships in the country.

Ag-Pro will have 29 locations in four states, including Arkansas, after the deals with Fayette Tractor and Lawn Equipment Solutions. The company will also have more than 600 employees and about $600 million in sales.
