Alpharetta-based Jackson Healthcare, a staffing service for the healthcare industry, said it has acquired Sullivan Healthcare Consulting, a Michigan firm that specializes in helping hospitals improve patient care management before, during and after surgery.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Sullivan specializes in perioperative services that include management of scheduling, staffing, sterile processing and surgery IT.

Jackson Healthcare Chief Executive Officer Richard Jackson said the Ann Arbor company will complement services provided by Premier Anesthesia and Jackson Surgical Assistants, two of Jackson Healthcare’s more than a dozen companies.

The acquisition is Jackson Healthcare’s first since December, when it announced it was acquiring Tyler & Co., an executive recruitment firm. In addition to executive recruitment, Atlanta-based Tyler specializes in succession planning, board governance and executive coaching.
