Atlanta's economic development agency is moving into new digs.

Invest Atlanta said Tuesday it was moving from its office near Underground Atlanta into the 29th floor of the Georgia-Pacific Center tower. The move to the downtown office building is set for December 1.

Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed called it a "major step" for the agency. Brian McGowan, the group's chief executive, said he hoped the high-profile space will "showcase our city and impress businesses" as it recruits new firms and helps existing ones expand.

Cassidy Turley represented Invest Atlanta in its search for the new space, and donated its commission of more than $225,000 to the agency to help with the costs of the move.
