Ronald W. Allen, a former Delta Air Lines chairman and chief executive,  has been elected chairman of Norcross-based Guided Therapeutics.

Allen has been on the board of directors at Guided Therapeutics since 2008. He takes the helm of the board from William Zachary Jr., who retired.

Allen, 69, retired as Delta's chairman, president and chief executive in 1997. He is also a director of The Coca-Cola Co., Aaron Rents Inc., Aircastle Ltd. and Forward Air Corp.
