Delta's in-flight magazine to feature Atlanta

July 26, 2010

Delta's in-flight magazine plans a special section on Atlanta, which local business leaders hope will attract more businesses and travel to the area.

Sky magazine said it will run the estimated 64-page section in its November issue, focusing on Atlanta's economic development, academic institutions, attractions and civic and business leaders. Representatives from the magazine will spend the next two months in Atlanta to prepare for the special section, according to Carsten Morgan, director of city and regional sections for Sky magazine, which is published by MSP Communications.

Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed said the city will likely advertise in the section, but he did not have specifics on how much the city will spend.

Sky magazine ran a similar special  section on Atlanta about five years ago.
