Chick-fil-A marks nationwide renovation program
By Jeremiah Mcwilliams
Jan 20, 2011Atlanta-based Chick-fil-A remodeled or re-designed about 170 restaurants last year, spending millions of dollars to improve the decor. Some of the renovations -- often at restaurants open a decade or longer -- emphasized earth tones of tan and brown in interior spaces, or moved play areas inside.
The privately-held company did not disclose exactly how much it spent on the project. The company hit $3 billion in sales for the first time in 2009, marking 42 consecutive years of sales growth. The chain built about 80 new locations in 2010.
