Boeing's newest makes Hartsfield debut

Hartsfield-Jackson airport got its first visit from the new Boeing 747-8F.

British Airways World Cargo Boeing 747-8F is displayed for guests and media during its operational debut event at Hartsfield-Jackson's Swissport Cargo. BA is the first airline to schedule service to Hartsfield-Jackson using the Boeing 747-8F, which received operational certification earlier this year.

The 747-8F is the cargo version of Boeing's 747-8 series. The overhead nose door helps make loading and unloading easier.

Guests and media tour the massive jet. The 747-8 series is the longest commercial aircraft. The passenger version, the 747-8I, carries more than 450 passengers.
