Asbury Automotive Group has named the former chief financial officer of an executive search firm as its new CFO.

Scott Krenz, the former executive vice president and CFO at Chicago-based Heidrick & Struggles, will become Asbury's senior vice president and CFO June 27.

Krenz previously worked as CFO of Navigant Consulting and has spent 20 years in various technology firms. He is taking the job after the former CFO, Craig T. Monaghan, became Asbury's president and CEO in February.

Krenz holds a CPA certificate in Illinois and has a master's in business administration from Tulane University. Asbury, based in Duluth, has 80 retail car stores in the U.S. and is one of the country's largest car dealers.
