In April, it leaked that former Falcon and current Eagle Michael Vick was shopping around a reality show.
BET has picked it up. It's set for eight episodes early next year and is tentatively titled "The Michael Vick Project," according to the Los Angeles Times.
"I just want people to really get to know me as an individual," Vick said last week in an interview from his home in Philadelphia. "What I want to do is change the perception of me. I am a human being. I've made some mistakes in the past, and I wish it had never happened. But it's not about how you fall, but about how you pick yourself up."
Yes, he wants it to be inspirational. And it will be serious. Thus, the producers are calling it a “docu-series” rather than a “reality show.” And they promise they won’t shy away from his issues related to dogfighting and how that impacted his career and his personal life. Nobody would tell the Times how much Vick will be compensated.
