Whoopi Goldberg, the veteran comic and "The View" host, will be performing at Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre Sept. 20.

She will do stand-up, followed by a Q&A. This is the first time in several decades she stopped in Atlanta for a concert that I know of. (If anyone knows anything different, please tell me at rho@ajc.com.)

Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. on Ticketmaster here.

Prices are $65.00, $85.00 and $125.00 each plus applicable fees.

Goldberg hosted a panel with Tyler Perry at the AARP national convention at the Georgia World Congress Center last year. (Read more here.)

And a few months ago, I spoke with Whoopi about an HBO documenatary she put together about comic Moms Mabley.

92.9/The Game has signed a promotional deal with the women's basketball team the Atlanta Dream.  V-103 will be the urban promotional station for the Dream.

The Game will air two Dream games: June 7 against Chicago and August 3 at 3 p.m. against New York.

They will join together in community events as well.

The Game has a much broader deal in which it airs all the Atlanta Hawks games.

PD Terry Foxx has not released information yet on who will replace Kordell Stewart, who left last week, and Jason Goff in the evenings, who was cut a few weeks ago.

DCRTV reports that Mark Zinno is leaving CBS sports talker 105.7 The Fan, WJZ-FM in Baltimore, to host evening on the Game. Along with a "big bump in pay," Zinno told DCRTV that he's "really excited. It's bittersweet to leave, but the right move for me." He starts in Atlanta on June 2.
