Kimberley Kennedy, host of "Hot Topics," has left WSB-TV.

She was an anchor for several years on WXIA-TV and WSB-TV. But in 2000, after Cumulus Media CEO Lew Dickey ended his wedding with her the day before it was set to happen, she took some time off and came back as host of "Hot Topics," a weekly entertainment show on Saturday nights.

Kennedy earlier this year wrote a book about her experiences called "Left at the Altar." (Thomas Nelson, $14.99). My colleague Rich Eldredge wrote about it in February.

Autumn Sam has taken over. A graduate of Norcross High School, she also works sports for WSB. Her most recent job was in El Paso.

Here’s part of Kennedy’s WSB bio:

In 2000, Kimberley took a break from television but returned the next year to host and co-produce Hot Topics.

The show is syndicated in a few markets outside of Atlanta.
