Actor/author Henry Winkler has postponed his appearance at the Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta tonight (October 30) because of wildfires in California near his home.

The new date will be Tuesday, November 12 at 7:30 p.m. He is coming to Atlanta with co-author Lin Oliver to talk about his new children's book "Alien Superstar."

Tickets purchased for tonight’s event will be honored November 12.

If you are unable to attend the new date, MJCCA will exchange your ticket for another one of the 45-plus authors scheduled during the annual book festival, with the exception of sold-out events. Please contact boxoffice@atlantajcc.org or 678.812.4002 if you need to exchange your ticket.

Winkler, on top of his book, will surely discuss his role as acting teacher Gene Cousineau on HBO’s “Barry” and his extensive career, which included “Happy Days,” “Arrested Development” and “Royal Pains.”

A reception with sponsors is still set for 6 p.m.
