In classic "Brady Bunch" sitcom fashion. this week's episode features the Chrisleys getting ridiculously competitive over a meaningless "sports day."

The Chrisleys attends a friend's annual barbecue (courtesy of realtor Bill Rawlings ) and Todd Chrisley's pique level is at its usual "peak" level.

"Do I get carried away? Yes," Todd says. "Do I want to win that #$#* trophy? Yes! I'm tired of being a loser at this freakin' barbecue."

But the episode lacked any real juicy Todd aphorisms. Instead, we get Todd trying to prep the family by handing them pedometers to gain 10,000 steps a day (something I try to do myself).

Chase and Savannah cheat - of course. Chase's efforts are more effective: he sticks the pedometer on a dog.

Todd even gets his nine-year-old son Grayson to try to gain "intel" on the games from Bill's son Carter. Grayson fails.

"You do realize this is all for fun?" wife Julie said.

"No," said Grayson.

At the barbecue, there are three events: a sack race, the egg-on-the-spoon race and an obstacle course.

During the sack race, Savannah and Chase get confused and never get out of the starting gate. In a second effort, Savannah fell and they lose.

Surprisingly, the Chrisley's win the egg race.

But things go awry during the obstacle race. Todd blatantly cheats and is disqualified. He tries to deny he cheats in Trumpian fashion.

Grayson wins his round. But Chase trips and falls over some tires and loses the third round. The Smith's take the prize.

In the end, the Chrisleys are losers.

"Of course we're terrible losers," Todd said. "Losing is hard."

"If you're not first, you're last," Grayson concludes.

And.... scene.
