V-103 mid-day host Ramona DeBreaux got married to Wayne Overstreet over the weekend at Lake Lanier.
Her spokesman Carlos Scott said they've been dating a couple of years. He said the wedding was an intimate affair. (Scott missed it because his son was ill.)
DeBreaux was a mid-day jock at Hot 97.5 (which later became Hot 107.9) from its inception in 1995 through 2007. She moved on to V-103, where she was a fill-in jock, then mid-day host for two different stints.
I last wrote a piece about DeBreaux last year before V-103 gave her back the mid-day role after Egypt Sherrod didn't work out. (You can read it here.)
Her former boss at Hot Mary Catherine Sneed said only about 100 family and friends were at the wedding. It was supposed to be outdoors but the cold weather forced them inside a heated tent. Still, they opened the back area during the ceremony so people could see the lake behind them.
"It was breathtaking," Sneed said. "It was stunning."
She was also agog over what DeBreaux wore, a mermaid-style dress with plenty of bling. "She could have been on a runway in Paris," Sneed said. (Indeed, the couple flew to Paris for their honeymoon today.)
After the ceremony, they held a reception which featured music curated by DeBreaux herself. "It sounded like V-103 from the 1990s," Sneed said.
Sneed didn't want to say who was there because it was such a small wedding, she knew from social media that plenty of folks were upset they were not invited.
