A woman found dead in a DeKalb County street Saturday night was definitely hit by a car, police said -- and she may have been shot as well.
DeKalb police spokesman Capt. Frank Braun told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that the woman's body was discovered in the middle of Glenwood Road near Meadow Lane around 9:20 p.m. Channel 2 Action News reported that she was not only run over but shot in the head.
Braun said gunfire was reported in the area before the woman was found, but he could not confirm the woman had been shot.
"Her name and the exact manner of death are unknown at this time," Braun said in an email.
No further information was available Sunday morning.
