Flowery Branch Mayor Mike Miller posted the following update on Facebook concerning conditions in his city and the rest of south Hall County:

"Stay off the roads. Trees and power lines are down everywhere. 77% of the county is without power. Temps are expected to dip again just before sunrise along with wind could bring down more trees and power lines. Both power companies know a majority of the city of Flowery Branch is without power and they are working as fast as they can but north Georgia was hit hard with ice so it is a massive undertaking. Public works from city and county are working to clear trees as it is safe to do so and city public works has been working since 4am on applying salt and gravel to roads in the city along with attempting to use blades to scrape the roads but we are dealing with ice so that isn't as effective as it would be if it were snow"
