4 students injured when car rear-ends school bus

Four students complained of pain after their Fulton County school bus was rear-ended Monday afternoon.

The bus, from Banneker High School, was hit by a car on the ramp to I-85 southbound from Flat Shoals Road, Cpl. Kay Lester with Fulton police said. Two students were taken by ambulance to the hospital for evaluation, and two others were picked up at the scene by parents and taken to the hospital, according to a spokeswoman for the school district.

The driver of the car was not injured, Lester said. It was not immediately known whether charges would be filed.

The bus was able to complete its route.
